Manta ray dive big island11/20/2023 The dolphins were right out of the docking area for viewing and the turtles were next to the boat while the captain was briefing us in the beginning. The check in process was aittle confusing as they were taking in two groups but other than that, of all the different snorkel tours we've done on the islands and on the carribbean on the past, they said this was their favorite. She saw a white tipped reef shark and asked of we wanted a picture and dived down for the shot! We'd them continue following her around as a personal guide. Even though they asked her over 100 questions, she was not annoyed and kept looking for an □ for them. Our boys, 10 and 7 felt so comfortable with her they stared to refer to her as their teacher. She would ask of anyone wanted to follow her and since our family plus one other were the only ones, she pointed out everything she saw for us and brought us to every thing we would have missed had we ventured out on our own. We felt like we had a personal guide in the water with Cher. The crew was wonderful, the overall experience as not. There were just barely enough seating and some was toward the front with minimal circulation, making it difficult to get air when numerous people got seasick on the wavy water. It was evident that this excusion was overbooked. We had to leave the walker at the dock and balance my husband down the steps onto the boat. When we got down to the slip, it was obvious that this excursion was DEFINITLEY not wheelchair friendly. The crew quickly realized they were dealing with "another booking issue" and found that we were, in fact, supposed to be going out on the 0830 boat. Considering that the fmaily had a confimation showing a reservation for 6pp and we had a reservation for 2pp, we knew that was incorrect. It made us nervous when the snorklers in the famly attempted to check in and were told that all the pax for the 0830 excursion had already been checked in. My husband uses a walker so we figured that if was "wheelchair friendly", it would easily accommodate him. My family searched numerous sites for a wheelchair friendly snorkeling tour that my husband and I could ride along on while they went in the water.
